Wat Phrao Num – Mae Chaem, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand

Wat Phrao Num is one of the more modern temples in the area. Its walls are covered in richly-detailed carvings of Buddhist figures. The exterior black lacquer with gold gives way to a non-traditional silver on black on the inside, which is simply stunning.
